Today we come to the close of our series of messages in Genesis. We have seen so many beginnings in this book, including the beginning of the heavens and the earth; the beginning of humankind, made in the image and likeness of God; the beginning of sin; and the beginning of God’s plan to redeem humankind from the death and destruction that accompanies sin. As we come to the final two chapters, Jacob (or Israel) gives prophetic blessings to his twelve sons and breathes his last breath. At this end of the beginning, we are reminded of three lessons for the living of our lives…
